‘Christmas Girl’ is a non-spiced Belgian-style Blond Ale. This style typically runs 6.5-7.0% ABV. For years Buckeye has only produced non-spiced Belgian-style ales for Christmas. In the past, most have been Belgian Dubbel styles. This is by far the most pale version we have brewed. The favor profile is new. This is a flavorful, easy drinking, delicate beer brewed with quality German base malt and complex Belgian yeast. The aroma is prominently grainy Pils malt and subtle fresh fruit. The high carbonation gives the impression of more body to an otherwise dry finishing beer. The finish leans to grainy/bready Pilsner Malt and a semi-sweet, honey-like flavor. We hope you enjoy ‘Christmas Girl.’

‘It’s been quite some time since we’ve attended The Great Taste of the Midwest…glad to be back. In fact, it’s been such a long time (2002), I forgot how delicious it is. First off, I want to thank the organizers and volunteers – TOP NOTCH. We were basically cold-called to attend. I can’t, and never would turn down such an honor of an invitation. Heat and humidity were peaked out, as were the mosquitoes. Who cares! The landscape, beer, and untouchable Midwest vibe certainly wiped out the little quirks. We had a few Ohio breweries in attendance. Buckeye, Ohio Brewing, Great Lakes, Fat Head’s, and Sam Adams (Cinci). 100+ breweries in attendance. What I suggest is this. Attend next year, bring your bike, and enjoy the day on Sunday. The city is amazing. Great restaurants. The breakfast place near the Capitol is killer. Great people. Thank you ‘Great Taste’ and Madison, WI. More more thing, the farmers market on Saturday is to die for, I’ve never seen anything like it – hard core, Garin.’
